Auto Export Almelo helps foreign buyers, expats and businesses take a Dutch-registered vehicle out of the country. We deregister the vehicle for export, issue the papers the buyer needs and supply white export number plates with temporary insurance for the drive home. It all happens at our RDW-approved export desk at Slachthuisweg 135 in Hengelo. There is no desk in Almelo itself; from the Grotestraat it is about a 20-minute drive.
For example, we help:
To export a car from the Netherlands, the vehicle is deregistered from the Dutch vehicle register. The buyer, or the person the export is registered to, receives the export certificate (registration certificate part II) plus the registration card with one corner cut off. The seller receives the indemnification certificate, known in Dutch as the vrijwaringsbewijs: proof that the registration has ended. From then on, the Dutch owner no longer has to insure the vehicle, keep a valid APK (the Dutch roadworthiness test) or pay Dutch road tax for it.
Good to know: the vehicle is not transferred to your name in the Dutch register. The RDW advises that the buyer exports the vehicle in their own name, so you leave with the export documents in your name and the seller keeps the vrijwaringsbewijs.
Buying more than one vehicle, or selling a batch to a foreign customer? Send the details in advance through the request form or WhatsApp, and we prepare everything online. Per vehicle we need:
For a business buyer we also need the company name, address and VAT number. Please note: if you want the company name on the export certificate, that is only possible at an RDW location, not at an approved export company like ours.
All amounts are starting prices per vehicle, including VAT where applicable. If the car drives home on its own wheels straight after export, the complete export package is the standard choice.
